Yujie Li

I received my B.S. degree from Tongji University in China in 2019 and my Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tsinghua University in 2024. During my doctoral studies, I investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the assembly and stability of biomolecular materials. In September 2024, I joined the Yong Xiong Lab at Yale University as a postdoctoral researcher, where I have focused on developing native cryo-EM methods to resolve macromolecular structures directly within their cellular environments at high resolution. In August 2026, I joined the Mogessie Lab as a joint postdoctoral researcher with the Xiong Lab. My current research focuses on applying native cryo-EM to uncover the structures and organization of macromolecular assemblies in mammalian oocytes, with the goal of gaining a molecular-level understanding of oocyte biology and early development.
