I am a third-year undergraduate student from San Diego, CA, majoring in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. I’ve been fascinated by science from a young age and have been involved in research since high school. I plan to pursue a PhD in biology and a career in research. My passion for science, combined with a long-standing commitment to women’s health and reproductive rights, led me to conduct ovarian cancer research with Dr. Dwayne Stupack at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center during the summer of 2023.

During my sophomore year, I joined the Mogessie Lab, where I am currently investigating spindle actin assembly in mammalian oocyte meiosis, an exciting intersection of my interests in reproductive biology and fundamental cell biology. I was awarded the Yale College Dean’s Research Fellowship to support this work during the summer of 2024.

Outside the lab, I serve as an undergraduate fellow with Women’s Health Research at Yale, work as an undergraduate learning assistant in the MB&B department, and advocate for menstrual equity. I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow as a scientist alongside the brilliant members of this lab.
