I am currently a third-year undergraduate student from San Diego, CA, majoring in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. Having been fascinated by science from a young age, I have been involved in research since high school and aim to pursue a PhD in biology and a career in research. My passion for science, along with my long-held dedication to women’s health and reproductive rights, inspired me to conduct ovarian cancer research with Dr. Dwayne Stupack at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center during the summer of 2023. In my sophomore year of college, I was fortunate to join the Mogessie Lab, where I am currently investigating spindle actin assembly in mammalian oocyte meiosis—an exciting intersection of my interests in reproductive biology and fundamental cell biology. I was awarded the Yale College Dean’s Research Fellowship for this project in the summer of 2024.

Beyond the lab, I serve as an undergraduate fellow with Women’s Health Research at Yale, work as an undergraduate learning assistant (ULA) in the Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry department, and engage in menstrual equity advocacy. I am excited to be learning and exploring alongside the wonderful members of this lab, and I am grateful for this opportunity to develop my skills as a scientist.
